Frank Richards RBA (1863-1935) - An excellent watercolour depicting a towel on a Windsor chair outside a beach hut. Excellent condition. On watercolour paper laid down on board. Unsigned. Price on the back: 1 shilling.
From a cache of Frank Richards paintings and drawings literally rescued from a skip. Most have a price on the back: anywhere from 6d up to 2/6, so these must have been in some type of car boot sale at one point, pre-decimalization. I show a photo of the back of one of the items which was used as a sign. Not every picture is signed, but they are all unquestionably by Richards hand.
