Description
An interesting view of Penzance Harbour and town. The artist has depicted the sailing boats and rows of cottages in an almost naive style, with sheep grazing in the foreground. The bustling harbour is the main focus of the composition, which is full of elegant boats, departing and returning to sea. Inscribed on the reverse with the location, and that it was bought 'at Marazion', Cornwall. Well presented in a gilt frame, measuring 6cm deep. Unsigned. On board.Condition
The condition in generally very good. Very minor discolouration, typical for a work of this age. Inspection under UV light reveals no signs of restoration.
