Attrib. Daniel Sherrin (1868-1940) - Signed 20th Century Oil, Bluebell Forest
DescriptionA charming forest scene showing a pair of figures picking bluebells. Two silver birch trees elegantly frame the vivid blue sea. Signed. On canvas on stretchers.
There is light craquelure visible across the artwork most prominent to the brown paint. The canvas has also been relined. With a small loss to the paint above the signature. UV light reveals that the bluebells may have been overpainted and a few small areas of retouching to the paint towards the lower edge.
