Fine Late 18th Century Watercolour - Church Ruins

£232.00

Description

A very fine and delicately painted watercolour study of church ruins and cattle. The artist has meticulously drawn the fine details of the stone work, with great attention given to the perspective. A young farmer sits close to the ruins with his livestock and the hazy feel of the scene suggests the sun is just about to set. Very well presented in a rosewood frame. Indistinctly inscribed to the lower left. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and areas of foxing.
