Artist Biography
Printmaker, born in Cambridge who studied under Walter Hoyle at Cambridge School of Art, 1962-67 where he specializes in printmaking and illustration. He became Head of Printmaking in 1968 at Ipswich School of Art, a position he held until 1979. Elected RE in 1983 he held a solo exhibition at the Barbican Gallery, London in 1997. Other solo show venues include the Dominion Centre Toronto, the John Russell Gallery, Ipswich, Minories, Colchester, the New Ashgate Gallery Farnham, the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester and the Lyric Hammersmith. His group exhibitions include the Cambridge Contemporary Art Gallery, Ipswich Art Club, Adelphi Gallery, New York, Donald Hughes, Hong Kong, Mall Galleries, London and the RA. His works are held by the Ashmolean, the Museum of London and Ipswich Art Gallery collection.
