Liverpool born landscape painter who was educated at Dulwich College and studied art at Lambeth School of Art and the South Kensington Schools, where in 1876, he was awarded the Queen's Prize for Perspective. He showed at the RA, RBA, RI, FAS, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and RE. In 1919 he relocated to Bristol where he became a member of the Bristol Savages. Although little is known of his career, his decorative Victorian genre type work is reproduced today as posters.
