William James - Early 20th Century Watercolour, Lewes, Sussex
DescriptionA fine study of Lewes high street in Sussex. The artist has delightfully captured figures milling about the quiet street, with touches of body colour used to highlight the white stone buildings. Well presented in a washline mount and inscribed with the location to the lower left. Signed. On watercolour paper.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and very minor foxing. Overall the condition is quite good. With some scuffing to the corners of the mount.
