DescriptionA charming study by the British artist James Longueville depicting yachts manoeuvring in a marina. With delicate washes of colour, and loose, almost translucent application of paint. Well presented in a double card mount and silver gilt effect frame. Label to the reverse. Signed. On watercolour paper.
With minor discolouration and small marks to the frame.

James Longueville is a painter born near Chester. Following a career in journalism, he started to paint professionally in 1972, concentrating on the landscape around his studio. During this period, he also travelled and painting in Italy. He continues to travel frequently in search of new inspiration and has painted extensively in Ireland over the last decade with one-person shows in Dublin every other year. He has exhibited in Toronto, Canada and in Antwerp. He is an elected member of the RBSA and the Pastel Society and shows at the John Noott Galleries in Broadway Worcestershire. He has also exhibited regularly at the Mall Galleries, London and with the RA, RBA, RI, ROI.
