Framed Mid 19th Century Watercolour - Naval Sailing Ship at Anchor
DescriptionA very fine watercolour study of a large sailing ship in shallow waters. The artist has expertly captured the scene in meticulous detail, with particular attention given to the sails and rigging of the ship. Very well presented in a double washline mount and gilt effect frame. Unsigned. On watercolour paper.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and minor foxing. With some trapped dirt beneath the glazing. With slight marks to the corners of the frame.
