An engraving by Mariano Bovi after the original painting by I.B. Cipriani. Entitled 'Cimone and Ifigenia'. Depicts a scene from the Decameron. Inscribed within the plate 'London Published Jan. 1. 1809, by R.J. Hixon, 440, Strand.' Inscribed and dated. On watermarked laid.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. Very small hole and graphite line to the lower right hand side. With plate lines.
