Jiri Letak - Fine Mid 20th Century Acrylic, Vase of Purple Flowers
DescriptionA fine and well executed Eastern European still life painting (possibly Czech or Slovakian) depicting a vase of purple flowers, painted with mixed media including acrylic and watercolour. It is presented in a well suited decorative gilt frame with a linen slip. The painting has been signed to the lower right corner, and there is a label affixed to the reverse with the artist name, medium and dimensions inscribed. Signed. On board.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and yellowing to varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. Very tiny losses to corner moulding on frame.
