Stipple with etching of Prince William Frederick, Duke of Gloucester as prince, after the original 1780 Sir Joshua Reynolds painting. Inscriptions within plate lines read, 'Published Augt, 14th 1784, by John Boydell Engraver in Cheapside London', 'Sir Joshua Reynolds Pinxit.', 'John Boydell excudit 1784' and 'Caroline Watson Sculpsit.' Inscribed. On laid.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. Small tears to the margins outside plates lines. Very small hole to the left upper quadrant of the print, only visible upon close inspection.
