A beautifully detailed late 19th century watercolour by listed artist Kate Sadler, depicting pink and yellow chrysanthemums in a blue vase. Painted with gum arabic and body colour. On wove laid to card. Signed.

Condition

The condition is very good for a picture of this age. Very light surface discoloration to the edges.

Artist Biography

Kate Sadler (fl.1878-1894) was a late 19th century floral and botanical artist based in Horsham. She exhibited in various institutions, including the Royal Academy, Suffolk Street and the Royal Institute.
