Herbert George (fl.1906-1939) - Early 20th Century Watercolour, The Market Stall

A charming watercolour study by British artist Herbert George (fl.1906-1939). The artist has pictured the vibrant tones and textures of the vegetable stall in his distinctive impressionistic style. Impressively presented in an ornate Rococo style swept frame with floral corner pieces and a gilt slip. Signed. On watercolour paper.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There are some minor losses and cracking to the surface of the frame, as shown.

16.7 x 25.4cm (6.6" x 10")
Framed Size: 32.2 x 40.8cm (12.7" x 16.1")
