A charming set of two coloured etchings showing a Dunkirk street scene and Manchester Cathedral. Both are identical in size and are presented in card mounts and simple wood effect frames. Signed. On wove. Edward Sharland was a Bristol-born etcher and painter who specialised in architectural and landscape subjects. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and elsewhere. A member of the Royal West of England Academy, he travelled widely and produced etchings of architectural subjects both in Europe and in many British citiesCondition
There is some discolouration and foxing spots visible to both prints. With surface scuffs and light scratches to the frames, as shown.
