Alan Wickham - Framed 20th Century Watercolour, Sailing Boats

A fine evocative watercolour with gouache by the artist, designer and illustrator Alan C. Wickham, depicting sailing vessels to the left. The artist is known to have depicted Brighton beach many times, and this is likely the setting. Delicate washes of colour provide contrast to minute details in this well-balanced composition. Well-presented in a gilt and brown wood frame. Unsigned. On watercolour paper.

In fine condition.
