Framed & Signed 1936 Watercolour - Old Syon House
An interesting landscape depicting Syon House in West London. In 1539, the abbey was closed by royal agents during the Dissolution of the Monasteries and the monastic community was expelled.
This delightful watercolour is well presented in a deep washline mount and contemporary wooden frame. With artist's label on the reverse.Signed and dated. On wove.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. There is also some foxing to the mount. Minor marks to the frame.
