DescriptionA charming watercolour study with gum arabic showing the Drawing Room at Pontesbury Rectory. Charles Drury (the rector from 1824-69) has been painted comfortably seated in an armchair, as inscribed on the reverse. Well presented in a card mount and ornate frame with gilt effect detail. On watercolour paper.
There is mount burn and a minor tear to the upper edge of the artwork. With some loss to the ornate moulding at the edges of the frame, as shown.
