Donald Greig RSMA (1916-2009) - Framed 20th Century Watercolour, Alleford Bridge
DescriptionA charming watercolour study showing Alleford Bridge in Somerset. Although the artwork has not been signed the inscription on the reverse details British artist Donald Greig as the artist. Upon comparison with other artworks in Greig's hand we can confidently attribute the artwork to this artist. The purple and green tones have been delicately applied to the paper in the impressionistic manner typical of Greig's style. Well presented in a washline mount and simple gilt frame. On watercolour paper.
There is some discolouration to the mount and light scuffing to the frame. Overall the appearance is very good.
