Attrib. John Callow (1822-1878) - 19th Century Watercolour, Laneside Cottage
DescriptionA bucolic landscape with a timber framed cottage and rolling pastoral hills, attributed to the English artist John Callow (1822-1878). The artist has balanced the composition well, with a detailed and textured palette. Well-presented in a dark mount and gilt effect frame, as shown. Inscribed with 'John Callow, Laneside Cottage' to the reverse. Unsigned. On wove.
In very good condition overall. There are small pin holes to the corners of the watercolour, and slight discolouration to the left and right sides. The frame has only minor scuffing.
