M. Bigwood - 1929 Watercolour, Young Lady with Red Hair
DescriptionA wonderful portrait of a young lady wearing a 'flapper' dress popular in the 1920's, with a long string of pearls and silver arm bracelet, she looks very fashionable. The artist 'M. Bigwood', has used washes of watercolour to build up areas of shadow to create depth and shape to the face and has exquisitely painted her blue eyes, which gaze directly at the viewer. The portrait is well presented in a card mount. Signed and dated. On wove.
Areas of very minor foxing. Otherwise in fine condition.
