Description
A very pretty and highly decorative scene in gouache on silk. The gouache retains its natural matte brightness. Japanese birds flit around the flowers in pairs, appearing to be courting. The artist has signed and finished with a red seal in the top right corner.
The painting has been presented in a hand printed, floral frame (contemporary) with a gilt inner window. There is a jacquard silk cream mount.
On thin silk.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The frame is in fine condition.
