Artist Biography
Angela Braven (b.1947) is a British artist, who studied painting and printmaking at Hammersmith College of Art. She later taught at both the Chelsea School of Art and Ravensbourne College of Art. Her main sources of inspiration are her travels in India, Northern Africa, Spain and Greece; visually evocative writers such as Nabakov and Marquez, dreams and their echoes; her seaside garden and the fishing beach at Hastings Old Town. She has previously exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Pathologists and the Sussex Open Exhibition, as well as the Rye Society of Artists summer shows.
