New to Sulis Fine Art is a very fine collection of Victorian watercolour and graphite studies by various members of the Buckley family of Ireland, taken from an album. We are also pleased to present further additions to our 19th century collection of pen and ink drawings by Charles William Cole, including interior, military and society scenes. We have a new collection of military aviation paintings by Pat Owen GAVA
From a 19th century album of very fine Victorian watercolours and graphite drawings by members of the Buckley family, who were an artistic Irish family originally from Cork.
Featuring works by Charles Frederick Buckley (1812-1869), John Edmund Buckley (1820-1884), W. R Buckley and others. An original inscription in the album reads 'Mrs Holdernesse - the gift of her affectionate brother C F Buckley.
Taken from an album entitled 'Sketches, C.W. Cole'. We believe some of these sketches were produced for The Graphic Magazine 1884-1885. Another sketchbook by the artist is in the collection of the National Library of Ireland, produced when the artist accompanied HRH the Duke of Edinburgh on his "Relief of Irish Distress" tour of the west of Ireland in 1880.
We offer a group of contemporary paintings of fighter jets by the acclaimed aviation artist Pat Owen GAVA, including a Pegasus 11-61 and Euro Fighters. Pat Owen is a member of the Guild of Aviation Artists.
