Beatrice studied at the Royal Academy Schools, London, and first exhibited at the RA when she was only 19. Her work soon became synonymous with the classic English Edwardian garden, and her studies were used widely for greeting cards and book illustrations. Her career took off when she was commissioned to paint 40 garden scenes by the London art dealer Charles Dowdeswell, who then continued to represent her alongside the Greatorox Gallery. Even the royal family were fans of Beatrice's work - Queens Mary and Alexandra visited many of her exhibitions and often made purchases. She was often commissioned by high profile figures such as the Princess Royal at Harewood, for whom she painted Blickling gardens annually. She illustrated 'The Charm of Gardens' in 1910, and 'Gardens of England' in 1911.
