DescriptionA captivating and delicate oil painting by the artist Barry Edward Paine, depicting a still life composition of three distinct vases with dainty flowers. Monogrammed to the lower right-hand corner. There is an artist's label to the reverse. Date is also inscribed on the reverse. Well-presented in a double card mount and in a distressed gilt effect frame. On canvas board.
In fine condition overall, with minor scuffs to the frame. Inspection under UV light shows no signs of restoration.

Largely self-taught painter who has been a practising artist since 1978 and has held highly successful exhibitions in a variety of galleries in the West Country. In 1985, he opened Fairseat Studio which has been a very popular centre for students of all abilities. He has exhibited work at the Bath Society of Artists for several years and at the RWA since 1980, where he has prizes for his paintings in 1997 and 1998.
