An expressive still life in vibrant colours and scraffito. There is also a study of a stormy rainforest, on the reverse. Signed and dated. On canvas.


There are some losses to the upper edge of the still life and the lower right corner of the landscape.

There is no biographical records concerning British artist, Anthony Brown. However his landscapes are highly collectable. Brown’s work can be found in Dorset County Museum in Dorchester. The collection encapsulates Brown’s varied and progressive style, typical of the post-war era. This includes a number of modern still lifes and landscapes that lean towards a more cubist approach.
