DescriptionAn abstract and vibrant composition from English Artist Anthony Barnard Harris, completed in the artists' naive style and in an array of bright, primary colours that have been expressly applied to the paper. The paper has been cut in three sections and arranged to create this final composition. Inscribed with the title at the lower right, with a label for 'Madeleine Shaw Publishers' on the reverse. Signed and dated.

Painter, who studied at Reading University and then went onto study Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art. He became Principal of St. Albans School of Art, 1967-75, and Vice-Principal of Chelsea School of Art, 1975-86. In 1982, he was elected Master of the John Ruskin Guild of St. George. 1986 saw him appointed Head of Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts and Assistant Rector of the London Institute. Harris has exhibited widely in London, the provinces and in Italy.
