After William Hogarth - Original 18th Century Engraving. An engraving on laid printed for and sold by Robert Sayer. After the original series by William Hogarth. 'The Industrious 'Prentice a Favourite and entrusted by his Master - Well done thou good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things. Plate 4.' Signed in plate. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and various small tears to the edges of the page. There is a larger loss to the lower right corner as shown in second image.
