Collection Information
Sulis Fine Art is delighted to present a large collection of original costume designs for a production of G.H. Clustam & Hubert Bath's opera "Young England". The show ran from December 23rd to March 24th 1917. In the style of William Charles Wilhelm RI (1858-1925) who is known to have designed another set of costume drawings for the 1916 production. These are held at the V&A.
We believe these designs are copies of the originals made for the production the following year, by an assistant or within the studio of William Charles Wilhelm/Pitcher RI (1858-1925).
