A. Tully - 1923 Oil, Mała Panew, Poland
DescriptionAn atmospheric landscape study depicting the Mała Panew, a river in the South of Poland. Delicately painted by the artist, who has wonderfully captured the still moments of an evening sunset. It is possible the artwork is from the American artist Angela Tully, records of her exhibitions range from 1895 to the mid 1940s. Inscribed on the reverse with the location 'Panew'. Painted on thick card. Signed and dated.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and mount burn. Very minor areas of paint loss to the outer edges of the image, also with flecks of gold paint, probably caused by an earlier mount or frame. Generally the condition is good.
