A Pair of Early 19th Century Graphite Drawings - Laxey Glen and Godesberg Castle
DescriptionA pair of accomplished graphite drawings. One depicts Laxey Glen on the Isle of Man and is inscribed with the location to the lower-right edge. The other depicts the Godesburg, a castle in Bad Godesberg, a formerly independent part of Bonn, Germany. On the verso it is inscribed with the location, signed Frank Matthews Perth, and dated 28th March 1830. On wove, one with a Bath Vellum blindstamp.
The condition of both works is typical for their age including some mild foxing and discolouration.
