'The Contents of Stanley Studios, Chelsea' - The collection harks back to a golden age when Georgette and Peter Collins were immersed in Chelsea’s Bohemian art scene.
Gained a scholarship to Beckenham School of Art and later studied at the Royal College of Art alongside John Bratby and Edward Middleditch. He exhibited work in several Summer Exhibitions at The Royal Academy and three London scenes are in the permanent collection of the Royal College of Art.
Part of a collection of paintings by the 20th Century British artist, Brian Liddle, including a commissioned poster for the Imperial War Museum.
This week we are delighted to introduce the start of a large collection of works by Peter Collins ARCA, acquired through the studio sale of the late Peter & Georgette Collins. The collection features a wide range of nude and portrait studies and has a wonderful history in the Chelsea art scene. Other new products this week include floral still lifes by Muriel England FRSA, a new collection of signed portraits and beautiful landscapes in oil by the likes of John Moore of Ipswich and L. Erich.

This week we bring you a set of fine watercolours by the listed artist Edith Mary Lawrence and a collection of interesting oil paintings by Arthur E. Hance. We also introduce a set of watercolour continental landscapes from an album signed T. Dobson and etchings by E. Sharland. Other highlights include a superb watercolour by Albert Goodwin RWS (1845-1932) and a watercolour of St Anne by Charles de Chatillon (1777-1844).
